Municipal Housing Project in Carcavelos by MGO

This project proposes new forms of dwelling, based on the miscegenation of typological uses.
The program aims to promote the coexistence between students and young families, through an overlapping of the different typologies destined to these two groups, that share the same difficulty in access to good housing conditions.

It consists of two parallel buildings, aligned to Rua Ilha Graciosa, promoting the continuity of the urban network and intends to create a strong permeability between the public space located to the south of the land and the wine estates of the Monastery of Santa Maria do Mar, to the north.
